I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master's degree in psychology. I have over 25 years of experience in guiding those that are seeking help with addiction and just life frustrations. We tend to struggle most when we cannot find peace in our life. Let me show you how to overcome it. Have you been experiencing feelings of frustration and disappointment, low self-esteem or low self-worth, frustration with poor decision making, an addiction to prescriptions or illegal substances etc.? I hope to help you become a better version of you, help you find and set goals, begin to feel worthy and free yourself of any self-made prison.
Healthy Minds was founded with a clear purpose — to create a safe, compassionate space where individuals can begin their journey toward healing and growth. As a Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, I have spent my career helping people navigate mental health challenges, overcome trauma, and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.
As both the CEO and a practicing therapist, I remain deeply connected to the work we do every day. I’ve built Healthy Minds from the ground up with a commitment to client-centered care, professional integrity, and a belief that everyone deserves access to quality mental health services.
While we currently offer individual and group therapy, we are in the process of expanding to include Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Outpatient (OP), and Aftercare services — a reflection of our dedication to growing with the needs of our community. Our goal is to become a comprehensive support system for those seeking long-term recovery and personal wellness.
Healthy Minds is more than a business — it’s my calling. And as we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to provide thoughtful, personalized care that empowers each person to heal, grow, and thrive.
Thank you for trusting us with your journey. We’re honored to walk beside you.

Hi, I'm Amanda, and I have worked in the mental health field since 2012. I graduated from Barry University with a dual master's in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a veteran and proudly served in our US Navy which drives my heart to provide help for veterans, retired military, military personnel, and their families. Over the course of my career, I found that I’m passionate about helping individuals and couples from all walks of life, that want to reshape and transform their lives through counseling, coaching, or consulting. I strive to provide quality mental health care and support for all.
I am licensed in the state of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor (LMCH), and a Qualified Supervisor (QS). I’ve been working for over 10 years providing therapy and social service work in many different forms, from volunteering while in graduate school to working in larger facilities in the community and private practice. I also volunteer as a Mental Health Coach with my local church, where I love to give back and provide life coaching and spiritual consulting services. I believe we all need someone who can help give us good counsel and loving support.
As a mental health therapist, I seek to provide in-depth counseling, coaching, consulting services, and much more as we go through life and help encourage change in the community, one person at a time. My goal is to help people connect with their inner desire to create balance and wholeness in their world while being grounded in the present and having hope for the future. I’m hoping to meet the needs of every person I work with by providing a compassionate and collaborative approach to promote lasting change.
I’m open, direct, and not afraid to challenge you, but I also love to laugh and keep things simple and relaxing. My counseling, coaching, and consulting (CCC) services will provide you with a non-judgmental setting where you can truly discuss your thoughts and feelings in a safe and comfortable setting.
Welcome to Mindful Journeys, where we offer personalized psychotherapy services for adults, teenagers, and couples. We are committed to helping you navigate life's challenges and achieve lasting change through mindfulness and self-awareness.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.
At its core, DBT helps people build four major skills: mindfulness. distress tolerance. interpersonal effectiveness. emotional regulation.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment designed to help children, adolescents, and their caregivers overcome the impact of traumatic experiences. It combines cognitive-behavioral principles with trauma-sensitive interventions to address distorted thinking, manage distressing emotions, and reduce trauma-related symptoms. TF-CBT typically includes psychoeducation, relaxation skills, cognitive processing, and the development of a trauma narrative to help individuals process and heal from their trauma in a safe and structured way.
Group therapy allows people to receive the support and encouragement of the other members of the group under the supervision of a trained specialist. People participating in the group can see that others are going through the same thing, which can help them feel less alone. Group members can serve as role models for other members of the group.
Gestalt therapy Gestalt therapy is a humanistic and experiential form of psychotherapy that emphasizes personal responsibility, present-moment awareness, and the therapist-client relationship. It encourages individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the here and now, often through creative techniques like role-play and guided dialogue. The goal is to help clients gain insight, resolve unfinished business, and integrate different aspects of the self for greater wholeness and self-awareness.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented, strengths-based therapeutic approach that emphasizes finding practical solutions rather than dwelling on problems. It focuses on clients' existing resources, past successes, and future possibilities to help them envision and achieve their desired outcomes. Therapists use techniques such as the "miracle question" and scaling questions to guide clients in identifying small, achievable steps toward change. SFBT is typically brief and highly collaborative, empowering clients to recognize their own ability to create positive change.
